Theatre in the Mist, Inc. is your local, non-profit community theatre group.  As we begin preparations for our 13th season, we invite you to be our guest as we present  a look closer in to the stories of Dr. Seuss with one of America’s most performed shows, SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL. Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! On Broadway, Tony Award Winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big  imagination—Jojo.

This soon to be family classic will be presented at the Niagara Falls High School Performing Arts Center and is sure exceed last year’s TANYS award winning production of Annie which attracted over 2,000 patrons and included a cast of over 55 actors ranging in ages from 4 to 70 from all over Western New York.

Theatre in the Mist continues to reach thousands of theatre attendees with our professional-quality performances.  Producing quality live theatre is costly and could not happen without the continuing support of our faithful audiences and friends.  In this unstable time of Arts Funding, please consider partnering with Theatre in the Mist, a proven successful theatre to help enrich the arts and culturals in your community.  In addition to this enrichment for our patrons, consider the student and children who through Theatre in the Mist, are afforded the opportunity to participate and grow through live theatre.

To help convince you, take a look at this past season’s achievements:

  • This year Theatre in the Mist received 14 roving adjudicator awards from the Theatre Association of New York (TANYS) in the areas of acting, vocals, scenic design, and musical direction.
  • At the 50th Annual TANYS Festival in Batavia, NY, our production of Nunsense II: The Second Coming was chosen as a finalist out of 82 state-wide productions to compete. Nunsense won 2 of the top awards, Outstanding Performance for Sara Kovacsi and Outstanding Set Design to Ryan Scarfone and L. Paul Thomas.
  • This past season our board of trustees determined that a $1 donation from each ticket sold was and will continue to be made to various charities.  The 2011-2012 charities included Make-A-Wish Foundation of WNY and The Lisa Gravel Memorial Performing Arts Scholarship.

Please look over the enclosed Sponsor Agreements, as all of these options will help us continue to provide professional quality performances and, of course, will feature your name as a patron of the arts.  All gifts are gratefully accepted.  Your donations may be tax deductible.  Thank you for your consideration…the spotlight is on you!
