Get Happy – A Tribute to the Music of Harold Arlen

An original revue conceived, written and directed by Emily Pici

Buffalo’s own Harold Arlen wrote some of the greatest hits from the 30’s and 40’s, including the entire score to the classic movie, The Wizard of Oz.

Follow the characters in a musical night of entertainment as they journey through looking for love in “This Time the Dream’s on Me”, “It’s Only a Paper Moon”, and “Fun to be Fooled”. Then celebrate their newfound passion with them as they sing “That Old Black Magic”, “I’ve Got the World on a String”, and “Let’s Fall in Love”.  Finally, commiserate love lost in “The Man that Got Away”, and “Stormy Weather”.

Featuring a total of 27 songs, this romantic night will leave you spellbound as the characters draw you into their own perspective of the courtship of Harold Arlen’s music.

This event is a fundraiser for Theatre in the Mist – June 2nd-4th, one weekend only.
