The Lisa Gravel Memorial Performing Arts Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a student from WNY pursuing an undergraduate degree in Theatre, Acting, Dance, Music, Directing, Design, Writing, Technical Theatre, or other related fields in the Performing Arts.
- Currently maintaining an overall academic average of at least “B”.
- Recognized background displaying talent and abilities in the chosen field.
- The scholarship is not based on monetary need or scholastic achievement, but rather on accomplishment and desire to excel within the performing arts.
- Recipient is selected without regard to color, creed, religion, sex, handicap or national origin.
Applicant should provide a typed written letter of intent entitled “Why Acting” or “Why Dance”, etc ( “Why” which ever field the candidate has chosen). This should be approximately 300 words in length. Clearly state Name, Address, Age, School, Grade and Phone Number on the cover page of the letter.
Attach at least 2 (limit: 3) original letter(s) of recommendation from appropriate individuals who can recommend your talent and potential in the performing arts. Please send on official stationery, signed and not by a family member or relative.
